You are the Doer, Oh Lord, not I
A Difficult Riddle
Can I say that You are God? Are You the One Supreme?
With astonishment I know that You are amazing.
Can I say that You're sustainer? Do You make all things new?
Are You the active and inert force? Do the gods reside in You? . .
Your mouths are numerous and Your hands are many;
You appear in human form, also universally.
Everybody does bow down and we all worship Thee.
God of gods is our refuge and You make us all happy . . . . . . .
If You are not Ram, then Krishna You must be!
If You are not Krishna, then Ram please give mercy.
If You are not Shiva, You're the Shakti that I see,
If You are not Shakti, then Shiv make me trouble free . . . . . .
Oh, if You are not Ram, then You're Brahma to me;
Not Shiva or Shakti, then be Krishna graciously.
It's not duality I'm feeling, You are one God only,
Everywhere is Your existence, which I find heavenly . . . . . .
Tell me how can I worship? How to be Your devotee?
You are formless and with form simultaneously.
How can I remember You? How can I pray to Thee?
"Kripalu" You are formless and with a form I see . . . . . . . . . .
